The highly respected Denver based designer Joyce Clegg
has been a designer since 1988. Her level of experience,
trained eye and creativity has allowed her to work successfully
in most architectural and interior design genres, but historical
restoration is her passion. "All periods of history
have given us a particular vision of beauty, and even contemporary
design is derived from ancient creativity," she says.
"Only through respecting the past, can we create something
new, because the beauty of design is that it's always reinvented."
Joyce
is comforted and respectful of tradition, and inspired by
the flavor of live. "We have the power to teach, inspire
and enlighten," she says. When you enter a space and
feel something - joy, awe, comfort - that's good design."
Because Joyce is passionate about architecture and the
"bones" of a home, meaningful design is paramount
to her. "I abhor design without purpose. If you believe
like I do that form follows function, then you understand

The Black Forest and Pikes Peak, both which lie beyond the ridge, are permanently etched into the glass surrounding the master shower.
you cannot have one without the other," explained Joyce.
"Good design is beautiful in all ways that matter."
What sets Joyce apart is her impeccable focus on every
detail of the design, form the architecture and interiors
to the furnishings, so that they all tie together in the
end. "It's all just a big puzzle, and my job is to
make all the pieces fit."
Joyce's work is know to emanate a feeling, not just a look.
And that suits her just fine.
